The Story of Marianella and her husband is beyond fascinating!  We have spent hours on the phone and actually spent hours  listening to a lovely presentation Marianella put together about their journey.  She came all the way from Costa Rica to share with us in person!  Their passion for coffee farmers to be prosperous and not just be sustainable is in action through everything they do.  Marianella said, "If their just sustainable they are never growing."  We feel so Blessed to have crossed paths with coffee farmers who hold true to values of community, prosperity, love, and delicious coffee.  Without further a due let us introduce you to Cafe Con Amor!
 
We are beyond excited to share their adventure of not being coffee farmers to leaving their comfortable jobs in the United States to move to Marianellas home of Costa Rica.   Marianella and Jonathan knew nothing about coffee farming and decided to take all their savings and start a coffee farm.  Through many long days, nights, smiles, tears, and road blocks they finally started harvesting some wonderful coffees under the name of Cafe Con Amor.  As Cafe Con Amor grew the love to collaborate with other farmers blossomed as well and they started what they call Farmers Project.  Cute Coffee has now carried two different coffees from the Farmers Project. 
 
Farmers Project  is all about local coffee farmers in Costa Rica helping each other to support their workers, families, and their farms.  They live by the acronym T.E.A.M. Together Everyone Achieves More.  They have the same vision of farmers learning from one another by sharing supplies, knowledge, and they export their coffees together.   It's a Dream TEAM!

This coffee is also WOMEN CARE CERTIFIED.  WCC was created to stengthen sound policies and enforceable legislation for equality and to integrate women into the supply value chain.  They are a force for change that aims to uplift women's efforts with sustainable practices that yield more from production and increase revenue.  It can actually be applied to any product because it was developed to create worldwide awareness for a healthier planet and promote the empowerment of women in a system that guarantees equal opportunities at all levels of decision making.  Let's just say they are doing thangs!
